Un equipo de investigadores de la <strong>Universidad de Se\u00fal<\/strong> acaba de desarrollar un <strong>robot l\u00edquido con la capacidad de atravesar objetos s\u00f3lidos, fusionarse con otros y capturar sustancias extra\u00f1as. Aunque no tiene la forma humanoide ni la misi\u00f3n destructiva del famoso T-1000 de Terminator 2, su potencial para revolucionar la rob\u00f3tica es enorme.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La <a href=\"https:\/\/agencia.unq.edu.ar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Agencia de Noticias Cient\u00edficas de la Universidad Nacional de Quilmes<\/a> tuvo acceso al trabajo, publicado en la revista <strong>Science Advances<\/strong>, basado en <strong>una tecnolog\u00eda h\u00edbrida que combina la flexibilidad de los l\u00edquidos con la resistencia estructural de los s\u00f3lidos. Esta composici\u00f3n le permite al robot moverse con facilidad por distintas superficies, soportar impactos y atravesar espacios extremadamente reducidos sin perder su funcionalidad.<\/strong> Adem\u00e1s, tiene la capacidad de recuperar su forma original despu\u00e9s de deformarse, gracias a la estabilidad de su estructura h\u00edbrida.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La clave del dise\u00f1o est\u00e1 en una estructura encapsulada con part\u00edculas microsc\u00f3picas, una t\u00e9cnica inspirada en las llamadas \u201ccanicas l\u00edquidas\u201d. Sin embargo, en lugar de trabajar con gotas de agua, los investigadores desarrollaron un sistema basado en cubos de hielo recubiertos con part\u00edculas hidrof\u00f3bicas. Seg\u00fan se explica en el estudio, la estrategia mejor\u00f3 significativamente la estabilidad del material, permiti\u00e9ndole cambiar de forma sin perder su integridad. A su vez, los cient\u00edficos apuntan que est\u00e1n explorando nuevas maneras de controlar el robot mediante ondas sonoras y campos el\u00e9ctricos, lo que abrir\u00eda la puerta a aplicaciones m\u00e1s precisas en distintos entornos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Aplicaciones<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Si bien todav\u00eda se encuentra en una <strong>etapa experimental, el robot l\u00edquido podr\u00eda tener un impacto significativo en diversas \u00e1reas. <\/strong>En el campo de la <strong>medicina<\/strong>, su capacidad para moverse en espacios reducidos y transportar sustancias lo vuelve ideal para administrar medicamentos dentro del cuerpo humano de manera dirigida, o incluso para realizar peque\u00f1as intervenciones terap\u00e9uticas sin cirug\u00eda invasiva.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>En zonas de desastre<\/strong>, podr\u00eda deslizarse entre escombros para analizar estructuras, detectar sobrevivientes o eliminar obst\u00e1culos sin necesidad de intervenci\u00f3n humana directa. La <strong>industria<\/strong> tambi\u00e9n podr\u00eda beneficiarse de esta tecnolog\u00eda, ya que el robot permitir\u00eda inspeccionar maquinaria compleja y realizar reparaciones en lugares inaccesibles con m\u00e9todos tradicionales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La posibilidad de que los robots adopten caracter\u00edsticas m\u00e1s org\u00e1nicas y adaptables representa un cambio de paradigma en la industria tecnol\u00f3gica. Si hace unas d\u00e9cadas los aut\u00f3matas eran r\u00edgidos y mec\u00e1nicos, hoy la tendencia apunta a m\u00e1quinas m\u00e1s din\u00e1micas, capaces de transformarse y responder a su entorno de maneras antes impensadas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00bfSer\u00e1 el primer paso hacia una nueva generaci\u00f3n de robots inteligentes que desaf\u00edan las leyes f\u00edsicas? Tal vez falte mucho para ver un T-1000 real, pero lo cierto es que la rob\u00f3tica blanda avanza a pasos agigantados.
